Shadow heard the howl and looked to the forest. He had heard Alucard name Siara, Roxas' child.
"First I meet Titan's kid," he chuckles to himself. "Then I meet Roxas and Ash's. What's next, Xavier is revealed to have had a child after Daemien?"
Roxas had taken Daemien with her when she left Shadow. Shadow had often wondered how the boy was doing. They had agreed that no matter what happened between them, even if their romance were to end, Daemien would be Roxas' son by Shadow, not Xavier.
{Let it serve as a reminder,} he had told her. {Just in case we are no longer the way we are right now.}
How ironic, he mused in his head. Roxas left me a few days after that. Maybe she didn't like the idea of naming Daemien as my son. Then again, Roxas hasn't been in touch for some months now.
He doesn't dare contact her, for fear he will do so when he is not wanted. Instead, he waits for her to contact him. And she had not done so in a while. He hoped both Roxas herself and Daemien were alive and well.

Alucard watched with a smile and a stronger howl filled the air. A few birds sprung from the trees and took off into the night. Alucard stayed silent as a girl panted, stepping out of the forst and leaning against a tree. she caught sight of Alucard, the Shadow, whom she froze up at seeing. She didn't know him, but something in her blood ran cold. It was her reaction to most she met, even if she didn't feel anything bad from them. She gripped her necklace, the pantagram of silver that her mother once wore.
Alucard chuckled and nodded to her. "Hello, Siara. Nice of you to come out. However, I think the birds rathered you staying silent at night," he joked and Siara, the girl, chuckled before looking at shadow again, still confused at herself, yet... not. The man seemed like he knew someone close to Siara, but...
She wasn't exactly the calmest. At least she didn't react like Hector, giving whoever was near a noogie on the head and a big grin. Siara was the more silent and more dependant one, but she had many strengths from her mother that showed, even through her rigidness.

Shadow nodded to Siara. He remembered Roxas' Pentagram. The first time he saw it, he almost thought Roxas had become either a Satanist or a Devil's Agent, for both wear Pentagrams around their necks. This was quickly disproven, as his hand did not react to the Pentagram's presence. It did carry two blessings, one from the deities Roxas followed, and one, to Shadow's surprise, from the Sovereign, whom Shadow followed. It was obvious these deities Roxas followed were not ones that thought they were supreme, but rather held fast to the fact that the Sovereign assigned them with watching over their people.
"Greetings, Ara," he says. "Do not fear, we shall not harm you. If I did, it would disgrace your pendant."
(Here, a piece of my personal beliefs [which exist somewhat outside my religion, as my religion does not shape my personal beliefs, but rather my own supernatural experiences] has shown itself. It's not something to offend anyone, just how I wrote Shadow's world out.)

Siara felt a growl rise up at Shadow using her nickname. Alucard frowned at her and the young pup sighed and looked downcast, the eyes not wanting to look at Alucard's disapproving crimson orbs. She listened to shadow and replayed it in her head. Her grip on the pentagram eased, and she nodded. Alucard watched her. Something was getting her tense. Was it the fact Alucard was thought to be dead by the entire family, or was it that Siara was bad with thse she didn't know? He didn't understand, but knew in time that he would.
"Hello yourself, sir," Siara said back to Shadow, looking at him. Her french tone was stronger than Roxas's by far, but it was a gentle speak. Alucard smiled and nodded, making Siara perk slightly.

Shadow bows to Siara.
"I'd heard about you," he decides to explain. "I used to be in contact with your mother."
This was true, as earlier events had proven, but none can be sure if Siara knew that.

Siara watched him. "Who are you, sir" she asked. Alucard stood by silently. Sara looked towards the forest, tensing up. Alucard looked at her, curious. "What? What do you see?" he asked her, and Siara does not respond.

"Important matters first," replies Shadow.
He looks into the forest, his trained eyes seeing a wolf drawing near and, obviously, desiring a taste of Siara's blood. He approaches it as it slinks out of the trees.
"This girl is one that shall not be harmed," he says to it in Wolf. Thanks to being friends with Roxas, he had become quite fluent. "Leave at once, or face a Darkling that will not hesitate to protect one of the Moon Mother's beloved. Go."
He points to the trees.

The wolf snarled a,d Siara let out a hiss. Her eyes reflected the roaring and howling beast within, a rare creature mixed between a lion and a wolf. She growled stared into the wolf's eyes, and it quickly backed away, into the forest. Siara watched it leave, her body calming. one thing Siara never did was back down, and that was surely one ting that was even stronger, since both her parents had that trait.
Alucard clapped his hands and smiled. "Nice speech, Shadow," he said. Siara looked at Shadow and smiled. "Nice to see others with wolf tongue," she commented.

Shadow nodded to Siara.
"Thank your mother, for teaching me the tongue and accent," he says. "And thank you, Alucard. I do come up with my best under pressure."
He chuckles at his own joke and walks off.

Siara follows after Shadow, and Alucard smiles darkly before taking his leave.
Siara walks behind Shadow, her steps as silent as her mother's would be. She watched the stars for s moment, recognizing only the big dipper and the two stars, Rigel and Sirius.

Shadow stops, looks up at Ursa Major, specifically the Big Dipper, and draws a line from the outer two stars to a star further away. Without taking neither finger nor eye off the star he beckons to Siara, pinpointing exactly where she is even though he isn't looking at her. When she reaches him he pulls her close so she can see the star he's pointing at.
"Behold, Polaris," he tells her. "If you can find where it is in the sky, you can tell which way North is. If it seems to move higher in the sky, then you are going North. If not, then South. Hence it's common name, the North Star. There are many constellations in the sky, you just have to know how to identify them."

Siara looked at the stars, nodding. she didn't like the close contact with him, for she saved that kind of action with her brother or her boyfriend. When she watched him show her the stars, she seemed to understand, but not the full picture. She had once spotted Leo once, but had a hard time trying to place the image with the stars. "Yeah," she says after he speaks, "But I'm not that well with the stars. I can't help but stargaze at night, though."
She did have a love for the stars, and didn't seem to hold too much care to the moon. It was gentle, but she preferred sunsets. Why? She didn't know. It was just what she enjoyed.

There were few clouds in the sky that night. Just as Shadow released Siara, the full moon came out from behind one. Shadow stepped out into the moonlight and seemed to bask in it.
"Ah, the moonlight feels refreshing," he remarks. "It's been that was for such a long time for me."
The presence of Shadow's more gentle side seemed to be amplified when he was in the moonlight. Looking at him like this, one would never think he had such a haunted past.

Siara watched him for a moment, then turned her purple orbs to the night sky. Her soul roared out stronger. Somehow, it was very odd to her to be out here. She loved being out at night, and there was no worry of school yet, so why was the beast inside wanting to come out so badly?
I think this is one lesson mom didn't teach me, she thought and felt the beast inside ripping at her soul. She let out a loud howl-like roar to the stars, the star of Sirius seeming to glow brighter. After, she panted, catching her breath, and held her throat. It hurt to let out that sound, she now knew, and it wasn't exactly as gentle on her vocal chords as a howl would be.

Shadow grinned wisely at Siara's roar, and let out a roar of his own, proud and demonic, yet not striking fear into the hearts of those who heard it, rather filling those hearts with courage and hope.

Siara smiled at his roar. Lion soul? she thought curiously. I know Dad's a liger, mom's a twilight wolf, and Hector's a... well, I don't know. He's something, that's for sure, she thought with a chuckle. She watched the stars with a smile. Something bout the night sky was always calming to her. But, she wondered, was there a larger reason for it?

Shadow seems to have heard what she was pondering.
"Nope, demon," he says. "You wouldn't know it from just looking at me, but I am a very fierce warrior. In fact, long ago, I was a renowned warrior. There wasn't a single history-learned person that didn't know my name then. Good times, yes, but that doesn't mean I would go back just to live them all over again. No, I am content with these days, and the certain restrictions with it."

Siara looked at him, a but surprised. "Uhh... wait...? Can you read minds?" she asked ni honest curiosity. Upon a hill far away stood a different beast, watching below. It was human, at least, as it waited and watched Siara. What is she doing out here at this time of night without at least Hector? thought the form before the moon caught it's blue and gold orbs.
Siara looked at Shadow. "I know of Esp, but that's downright uncanny to me," she said.

"The mind is not an open book, waiting for someone to read it," he says, a hint of annoyance in his voice. "I perceived what your mind was saying by looking in your eyes. Now, I'd suggest you head home. Someone seems to be looking for you. At least, that's what I see in his eyes."
He gestures to the blue/gold-eyed creature on the faraway hill.

The form growled lightly. Siara looked at it, gasping in surprise. "Oh no!" she said and whimpered lightly. "Shit," she said under her breath, her french tone lost now.
You are fine, child. Just be wary of Xana, the creature thought before dissapearing into the night. Siara watched it. "At least Mom's not mad," she said with a sigh of relief.
