Encounters of the XANA kind(X/J/Glitch/Haxx)

[Xavier]

Xavier and James landed on lyoko the Superscan had picked up an active tower and they were already in the factory so they called the others and headed to the Desert Sector. "First time I've been here. What about you James?" Xavier asked his surprisingly new friend. If you had asked Xavier if he would want to be friends with this guy the when he first met him he would have said no. But now they were pretty much best friends, much like Ash and Marty. "No I haven't, I've only been to Lyoko like twice before." James replied. Xavier shrugged and started to walk forward, "Well the Superscan said the tower was about South Southwest of here so we better get moving." James blurred and was about twenty feet away from Xavier in an instant, "Hey! No fair!" James laughed and Xavier started running after him.

After a few minutes they could see the Red tower on the horizon. They could also see two figures standing by the towers with some discolored Creatures by them. "This looks bad" Xavier and James said in perfect unison. Xavier activated his Lighting Sword and James pulled out his Gunblade. Xavier being the nice guy he was spoke to them, "Who are you and how did you get here?" James leaned toward Xavier, "Hey just in case they end up being XANAifed I'll get as close as possible and shoot 'em and you use a lighting strike alright?" Xavier nodded he knew that James was good at planning attack patterns and such.

[Glitch (Thunder)]

Looking up at the tower with her hands placed on her hips, the currently inactive blades of her weapons following her arms to her elbows where they gracefully carried on to a sharp point. Glitch sighed looking at its red aura of the tower. She tilted her head slightly looking close to the top before turning to the figure to her side. ”It begs to be questioned... Why he declares the tower on in such a way.” she spoke softly, with a sweet childish hint to her voice.

Glitch’s attention turned to the two warriors behind them. A small smirk came to the side of her lips as she turned her body side on to them, front facing her partner in crime. ”Why, hello boys.” was all Glitch greeted them with; she was not in the mood to answer questions on their terms. She watched them carefully with a smile, just waiting for them to try something. [/color]

[Haxx]

I did not particularly mind this time around. The response was quite poor from what I could tell from my previous encounter, and the boredom set in quickly. However, this time I was not alone, which made the wait pass much quicker. I let a small muffled chuckle out at her comment, shaking my head. “Well, it needs to make a statement. Besides, it looks rather sinister.” I responded. Someone greeted us, and I turned slowly in a way that matched Glitch’s quite well. Our suits were complimentary of one another, our blades matched… we really were quite the pair.

I looked over the two Lyoko warriors, my eyes remaining dim. I did not want to give us away quite yet. My view moved to Glitch, giving her a small devious smirk as I moved towards the tower. A few paces then I turned on my heel, behind Glitch like a bodyguard looking at the pair. I would run damage control. She was the control, and I was the damage.

[Xavier]

After the duo spoke James and Xavier looked at each other. They didn't want to attack people who some how got to Lyoko, but they were there and they shouldn't have been. Xavier kept his eyes on them as he spoke to James, "Hey James remember the code. The one for vehicles on Lyoko?" James nodded and Xavier kept speaking, "Well I wrote another code, with the Help of Kris. It allows us to get them on Lyoko just by thinking of them. If they attack you use your Super speed and I'll get my Lighting Bike. They'll never know what him 'em." Xavier rarely made any battle plans but this seemed like a good time to try.

James was really unsure as to what to do just like Xavier. He was running everything that could happen through his mind. He hadn't know about the new program until Xavier spoke of it. But of course James didn't have a Vehicle he relied on his speed. Jame walked over toward the towers hoping they were not XANAifed. "Hey, hows about you let us go into that tower behind you? You may not know anything but that thing is dangerous when read so we gotta turn it blue again." If anything happened and one of them ended up on earth they would have to try to take control of the tower. Green would look nice on it right now.

[Glitch (Thunder)]

Glitch listened into Xavier’s conversation to James, hearing him mentioning the help of Kris she glanced to Haxx with a small smirk before turning round fully to the two Lyoko warriors. Placing a hand against her deceivingly innocent face.

Watching James walk to them she leaned forward slightly, placing her hands on her knees and tilting her head a little, almost in a playful fashion”Don’t you want to stay and get to know me? That stupid old tower isn’t going anywhere.” She closed her eyes giving a soft smile to them both, before looking at James in particular, running one hand through her hair. “It can’t wait five measly minutes?” She asked unsurely, as if trying to act a little childish.

[Haxx]

A dark smirk played on my lips, mirroring Glitch’s until she turned back to the pair. She was being her typical self, and I was not about to stop her. It was cute, in that appealing kind of way. Maybe that was what I enjoyed about assignments with her so much. As she made a very compelling argument I could help but take a small peek myself. Suffice to say she had a point.

“There is an offer you do not get every day.” I said with a smirk, taking a slow striding pace away from everyone, a few steps to the left of the temptress. The metal of my blades gleamed, my eyes locking with one of the newest arrivals. “What is so bad about the tower being red anyway?” I asked, a knowing smirk tugging the corners of my lips again. A light buzz filled the air as a pair of black, insect-like silhouettes moved through the sky behind them.

“Do we even get to know your names?” I asked finally, trying my best not to sound condescending and maintain appearances. It would be too easy to just crack up at this stage, I was enjoying this game almost as much as I would what would be coming after they changed the rules.

[Xavier]

Xavier watched the two people and their movements when the female started to ask for them to wait James looked back at Xavier. Xavier nodded and waited for him to do his thing. Xavier then turned his head back to the duo. "Well, I guess we can spare five minutes. It's not like the world is in danger." Xavier said a hint of sarcasm touching his last few words. Xavier looked at the tower and felt the pulsing on the ground. He hoped James plan worked.

James watched and listened as the duo talked. He turned and looked back at Xavier giving him a look that he would know. James then turned and spoke after Xavier. "Well I'm James and thats Xavier." He said dryly and then he closed his eyes and used his super speed to get as close to the tower as possible. When he oped his eyes he saw the tower a few feet away. He then turned to see the surprised looks on the duos face. He started for the tower hoping he would make it.

[Glitch (Thunder)]

Glitch was expecting a sudden move in attempt to get inside the tower, her eyes following James as he used his Lyoko ability to get close to it. What they would not suspect though, Glitch had her own advantage on Lyoko.

Devirtualising on the spot in a small flash of darkness. Revirtualising in an instant in front of, or at least near to, James. Glitch looked to him, gently stoking down her hair with her left hand once more. She gave a gentle smile ”Aww... Is that stupid peace of coding more important than me James?” Her sweet and innocent pose was only spoiled by her glowing red eyes, Xana’s mark clearly left in them. She made no hostile move, there was no need.

Glitch stayed quiet and still for a moment, letting the fact she was working under Xana sink in a little. Still stood with a soft smirk.

[Haxx]

Sarcasm did not suit him, and their conversation lasted a few more brief moments before they would go on the offensive themselves. I found this little fact a little ironic, I thought the ‘bad guys’ were meant to be the aggressive ones. In a moments notice one Lyoko warrior had darted behind me, dearest Glitch had moved to cut him off and whatever the other one had planned was not going to go far.

Swooping in from behind came a pair of hornets, charging shots as they dived down onto the scene. From behind the massive bulk of the tower came the black chitin of my Krab. I was far from just standing there though. I left behind a red spectre trail as I lunged forward, arm outreached to tackle Xavier and disrupt any plans he might have had. Something was attempting to virtualise and I charged with enough momentum to knock him away from it. My eyes turned ablaze with the symbol of Xana’s power.

“And here I thought you were the good guys. What, no warning shot?” I said, so obviously mocking the Lyoko warrior I had just assaulted. I had not really been paying too much attention to his introduction. I yelled over my shoulder back to the pair nearer the tower. “Don’t neglect her now will you?” I asked, tone both suggestive and antagonising. My eyes never left the warrior I had taken. We did not even exchange glances in that brief moment, I knew what she would do, and she knew what I would. I wondered how these two were planning to stand up to that calculated precision.

[Xavier]

Xavier watched with a small grin as James got close to the tower. But the grin faded quickly as he saw Glitch disappear and then reappear in front of James. He then worked on getting his new program working, he thought of his lighting bike in front of him. He pictured it in front of him with the sand blowing up as it landed. It took way more concentration then he thought it would. He couldn't even pay attention to Haxx or Glitch anymore, the lines of Code of the Bike appeared before him, slowly but surely. Xavier didn't notice Haxx start running toward him. By now the Bike had a outline and the color was starting to fill the bike in.

Xavier then felt the air rush out of him as he was hit by Haxx, he was on the floor in a matter of moments and the Bike stopped filling in. Xavier was suddenly worried that if it was destroyed in this state then the whole file would get corrupted. Xavier didn't move as he tried to focus on getting the Bike devirtualized. It actually disappeared faster then when it virtualizaed. Xavier was relieved when it was 100% gone and then he looked back at Haxx. He pulled his Sword out and put it by Haxx's side, he then focused on getting the lighting blade to pop out, and when it did it should have hurt the guy pretty badly. Xavier then made the blade disappear and he watched as the virtual blood dripped off the blade and onto the floor. It shouldn't have taken away all of his life points but it should have gotten quite a few of them.

James saw as the female appeared in front of him, he growled at her and then spoke. "How the hell did you do that?" James would have just superspeeded the rest of the way but he had already used his powers twice and it took a lot of energy to use he power, so James started to charge up his gunblade and he brought it up. "Well Answer me before you end up with a few holes in you." James was pretty pissed at this female for ruining his plans at getting to the tower.

[Glitch (Thunder)]

Gently pushing his gunblade away Glitch smiled at James softly ”Now now no need for weapons, I thought we were the bad guys anyway.” She spoke with the same sweet voice she used before, but it was starting to become a little taunting as well.

She took a step closer and reached with her hand to James to gently bush his face ”Hunny, you’re not the only one with powers on Lyoko” Winking at him she took a step back. Swinging her blades down to meet her hands the metallic clean surface glistened in the virtual sun. A devious smile crossing her lips. ”If that’s how you want to play....”

[Haxx]

The expression is two birds with one stone, but in this case I think it is better to state it as it happened: two achievements with one attack. I stopped the Lyoko warrior from virtualising assistance, and disorientated him to boot. The impact might have even taken a couple of lifepoints, which was fine by me. I felt something get pressed to my side, which is never comforting. In a blur I rolled off the top of Xavier, followed quickly by a beam of energy which would have torn straight through me. It was almost underhanded, and left a rather large gash through my leg. Seems these Lyoko warriors did not share a combat style.

I leapt to my feet, making a slightly hindered run back towards the other pair. Almost in sync with my boots contacting the ground, a hail of shots came from the flyby of Hornets, moving around for another pass. If he had any brains he would be dodging them not pursuing me. I came to a halt near to Glitch and her unwelcome guest, standing a fair distance back from James. I did not shout or give away what our next move would be. The Krab let loose a shot or two in Xavier’s direction as well.

My arm blades rang out as I stood behind James, the two of us now flanking him. It was still a moment before I spun forward, a whirlwind of razor sharp metal. I went for his left arm first at the bicep; once I felt contact I reversed my spin and brought my blade down for the right shin. It seemed like a relentless assault, to them perhaps it was.

If only they knew my real plan.

[Xavier]

Xavier noticed that his plan didn't go quite as planed, the blade had hurt Haxx but it hadn't hit him where Xavier had aimed. It had cut his leg which was still good. As Haxx started to head back toward James and Glitch, Xavier got up and started to run after Haxx but then some Hornets came and started firing. Xavier ducked and moved out of the way, Xavier then did a very odd thing. He summoned some lighting and aimed it at the Hornets. "Pikachu!" he whispered as the Hornets were shocked by the lighting. Xavier didn't see the blast from the Krab until it was too late, Xavier was hit in his arm taking a few life points with it. Xavier gasped in pain as he was hit, he was not going to be taken lightly. "Hey! XANA Dude!" Xavier yelled getting Haxx's attention. "You know the Incredible Hulk? Well he's got nothing on me!" Xavier was trying to buy James time to either charge up his sword or his Superspeed.

Xavier Closed his eyes and quite a few lighting strikes land near Haxx, one of which hit him. "With me around, your chances of getting hit by lighting are 1 to a 1,000!" Xavier watched Haxx to see what he would do.

James was too focused on Glitch to notice Haxx getting close to him, but it was obvious when he was suddenly cut. James fell down and looked over in time to see Haxx. But then Xavier drew his attention away, James chuckled under his breath. Superspeed was out, he had a bad leg now. But his Gunblade was just that. A Gunblade. James had already charged it so he would be able to shoot glitch no problem. James shifted his sword so that it was aimed at the female. Then he pulled it up so that it was aimed for her chest. James then pulled the trigger sending a shot straight through her, it was not enough to devirturalize her but it would certainly weaken her.

James got up and started to walk/limp toward the tower. If he could just enter the Code then the tower would be deactivated and they could leave. If only James could get Xavier's bike, "Xavier! Bike! Now!" He said in between gasps, James saw Xavier focus and the bike start to appear, now there was only one question. Would Xavier be able to finish?

[Glitch (Thunder)]

Her sweet eyes watched Haxx and Xavier parry each other. Overhearing their conversation she could not help herself but pull a cute face and smile yelling to them in the sweetest tone heard from her yet ”Pikachu is sooooo cute!” The yellow rat was something Glitch never grew out of, she couldn’t stand rats, but the cartoon fur ball was one that she could not only stand. She wanted one for her own.

Going back to business- Glitch’s eyes followed the gun/blade mix that had the honour of being James’ weapon of choice. The virtual light reflected off the blade, as well as the barrel of the gun as it quickly rose up to Glitch’s chest height. ’Of course he would aim there. Large target.’ A small sadistic smirk crossed her lips.

The echo of the shot bounced over this section of the desert before a moment of silence ensued after. Going straight through her chest and breaking down to a red wire frame before disappearing completely. The round ricocheted off a virtual stone before embedding itself in sand, still smoking from the shot. It was down to James, Haxx and Xavier. Or so it would seem.

A childish giggle followed as Glitch revirtualised close, but at about eight o’clock to James and a half dozen feet behind, in fact right before Haxx. Though she stood rather intimately with him as soon as she returned, her arms were gently wrapped around his neck with the blades on her arms pointing out like his little demonic wings. Sneaking a kiss with him she kept a sweet, but somewhat more grown up, voice as she spoke.”How’s your leg hunny? Felling better cause of your sweet little Glitch?”[/b] Of course, she was referring to her other Lyoko power. Haxx knew exactly what she meant.[/color]
