Midnight. The factory was silent, as a normal abandoned factory would be. Miyako looked down on the dark concrete floor of the factory from the first floor. With her sapphire eyes reflecting the moonlight, the full moon was the only thing dimly lighting the outline of the support beams and elevator below.
Taking a deep breath after checking she was not being tailed she jumped for one of the ropes and slid down, by now she had learnt to wear at least a glove as she did to stop the friction from sliding down an entire floor. Tonight she had done exactly that by wearing her black jacket with matching pair of well-fitting black gloves. Her feet echoed in the empty space of the factory as her deep grey trainers touched down.
Releasing the rope after giving her eyes a second to adjust she could see quite well in the darkness, after all, she was used to it. She slowly wondered to the elevator and called it up, it rattled and growled up the shaft as it approached. And as the doors opened she cast a glance behind her. Miyako was just being extra careful, almost enough for someone to think she was paranoid that someone was following her.
The doors opened once on the level with the main console part of the factory. The low underline humming as she glanced around the room, the lights were dim and the screen and holographic map showed nothing. She stayed in the elevator pushing the button to go down another level or two. If she did not need the interface. She defiantly wasn’t going on a solo mission again, then again she would not even think of it after the last time she did, running into the Scyphozoa assured that for the rest of her Lyoko life. Question was, what was she doing?
The doors opening onto the computer mainframe the room was fully lit, as it always was. Miyako stepped inside as the elevator doors started to close. Leaning against the wall just inside she watched the black and gold machine that withheld Lyoko, Xana and all its other secret content. She kept quiet for a moment thinking through what she was about to do... Before standing fully and walking over the main part of the computers heart- The power switch, turning on her side to the elevator and mainframe, running her hand gently over the leaver and gripping it quite tightly.
