XANA's monsters are seen running. What makes this different is that they are running away from something. A clearing on the top part of the sector reveals two people about to fight, Titarus and some other stranger.
"Why did you come here, Kontou?"
"I came here to stop you, Titarus."
"There is no point, the world is ending and there is nothing you can do." Titarus retaliates to the phrase.
"There is. I can kill you." Kontou replies.
"That isn't going to happen." Titarus says disappearing.
Kontou looks around and then gets hit forward,
"The only person to ever defeat me was named Titan, and that was in a different universe." Titarus says.
Kontou looks around and draws his sword ready to attack. He slices once and hits Titarus in the shoulder. Titarus drops down and spin kicks Kontou's legs. Kontou falls down and gets hit again rolling next to the edge. Titarus walks over and kicks Kontou again, making him slip off. Kontou grabs onto the edge of the sector for his dear life. Titarus sticks his foot up about to step on Kontou. Kontou grabs Titarus' foot with both hands and activates his two hidden blades making both blades since into Titarus' foot. Titarus pulls backwards, pulling Kontou up. Titarus disappears, leaving the area.

A strange figure can be seen far off, watching.
What just happened? he wonders.
When not hanging out in the MMO he had been immersed in for a while, he is usually seen somewhere here on Lyoko. If not, he is at home, which is in America, doing Real World things.

Kontou pulls himself up and breathes heavily. "Why can't I catch him?" He says to himself, "I have to catch him."

The figure tilts his head in curiosity. What kind of struggle is going on?

Kontou looks up and gets up and begins to walk, slowly getting faster and faster until he gets to a tree he quickly climbs and disappears in.

The figure realizes he is gone and goes back to strolling in the forest.

Kontou appears infront of the figure, "Who are you and why are you watching me?!" He yells.

The figure stops.
"I was curious as to what could scare Xana's creatures away," he says. "As for my name, it is more polite to introduce yourself first. Besides, I am only walking in the forest."

The figure bows.
"Shadow Darkman, at your service," he says. "I wonder, what is your business here? As I said, mine is to simply walk in the forest."

"One of the students at the school," he says. "What has he done to deserve death? How is it so heinous?"

"He is trying to end the world. And if you side with him I wont hesitate to take you out too!" Kontou says readying his hands.

Shadow turns serious.
"End the world?" he says. "This is not good. I need as much info as you can give me. Perhaps there is some way to take him down. We shall have to discover it."

Kontou puts his hand up flat. "There is a way to take him down..." The hidden blade shoots out, "....kill him."

Shadow nods seriously. He would have joked, but he did not feel that would be appropriate.
"It just so happens I am a great warrior," he says. "All we need is a samurai and we're all set. In the end, he will die."
He then realizes he cracked a joke, despite his decision not to do so.
