ooc: this is just a partner thread for 'Two new fighters...a bird and a soldier?'. I thought it may be easier for the real thread if real world posts weren't crossed over with lyoko posts. And this is meand for those who are devirtualized..

In the silent scanner room, one of the scanners opened and Liam toppled out, breathing a little heavily. Titan was right on this part, he did feel very light headed. Struggling to stand, he wondered how Miyako and Titan were doing.

As Liam wait in the scanner room the wait was short until the doors of the Scanner Miyako used opened and she literally fell out of it. Due to how light-headed and physically unwell she felt. Travelling to a virtual world was seemingly worse than normal ’travel sickness’ that she happened to suffer from. She was glad that she was back to her normal human self, but the way she felt distracted from the glad feeling.

Upon hearing the scanner open, he turned to see Miyako fall out of the scanner. Although his movement was impaired for a bit more, he managed to move and caught Miyako gently. "Are you alright?" he asked, sounding concerned. Upon catching Miyako, he lost his own balance, but prevented himself from falling by getting down on his left knee.

Caught by Liam she put her own arms round him, staying close as he went down on one knee and looking up into his eyes she got a small smile crept on her face. ”hey... You’re okay?” She did not sound one-hundred percent, but she was more concerned about Liam being all right rather than herself. Her eyes were half closed as she looked up at Liam. ”what exactly happened?” She asked, still a bit confused as to everything that is happening.

Feeling Miyako's arms wrap around him, he was somewhat confused but was still remaining calm. Soon looking at her, he sighed at her question. "I wish I could tell you, but I am not entirely sure myself...anyway, I doubt this is something that everyone should know...we might need to keep this whole scenario a secret." he said, thinking what might happen.

Miyako’s heart was still pounding as she thought about it. She sighed trying not to, as she looked at Liam and her cheeks went slightly pink with embarrassment as she asked ”Liam... I know this is awkward but...” Miyako went quiet, she was to embarrassed to ask for a hand up and just sat up a little on her own still close to Liam, and she smiled for him. She knew no matter what happened at least Liam would care, and she for him.

Hearing Miyako's words, Liam got a little confused. He soon guessed it, as he knew it was difficult to stand when he got out of the scanner, and Miyako got out of one later than he did. Helping Miyako stand, he smiled a bit, glad he was useful for something other than just buissiness.

Miyako took Liam’s hand and stood up, with him helping her it was a lot easier but she would not say she was ok to stand on her own, but she enjoyed having Liam close. Miyako looked up to Liam and over to the third scanner expecting titan, but nothing happened as she looked and her mind wondered back to Lyoko, and everything that happened and she moved one of her hands over her chest, and she could feel her heart beating fairly fast and she closed her eyes concentrating on calming herself down, she spoke quietly under her breath ”It’s all okay now...” She told herself. And slightly shook her head as if she somehow deep down knew it was not all right. She opened her eyes her looked back at Liam and the fear in them was clear. She was not just confused by Lyoko, but a bit scared of it and its consequences.

Liam looked at the scanner where Miyako looked and sighed a bit. "I'm sure he's fine. He didn't take any damage from any of the monsters in there, and he is the most experienced out of the three of us. Plus, he has a partner with him, so odds are he will last in there and deactivate the tower he mentioned." Liam spoke to comfort Miyako. He then thought about this : X.A.N.A virus. "Any virus will have an antivirus...but then again, judging by the calibur of that computer, no normal antivirus could match it...I haven't heard of this kind of predicament since back at the..nevermind.." he said, catching himself on his words.

Miyako looked at Liam slightly lost as to what he was talking about but understanding parts of it. She felt a bit better now as well as knowing that Liam knew a bit more than her. She sighed and heard him talk about his ’Corporation’ again and she closes her eyes in thought and asked ”Since back in the..?”[/b] She was interested, as Liam had mentioned it a few times before. But she realised that he may not want to say it and added ”Erm... If you don’t mind telling me that is..”[/b] She was not comfortable talking about her past, and if anyone else were to ask she would not tell, but for Liam she thought twice about keeping her silence. Maybe Liam wanted to keep quiet like her, but there was only one way to find out, and that was waiting for an answer.

"I'd...rather not say." he said calmly. He did trust Miyako, but it was the fact that he had been sure to keep himself quiet on this particular matter. He held his head, still feeling the odd lightheadedness, and shook his head quickly to get blood to rush there.

”Yeah I understand... I’d rather not talk about what happened in the past either..” She voice went quiet and shy just thinking about it and her eyes looked over to Titan’s Scanner, so she did not have to look Liam in the eyes and say any more. The slight smile she kept around Liam went as she dug up her past in her mind. It clearly unsettled because of it. There was a moment of silence as she kept her eyes focused elsewhere, trying not to think or say any more.

"Understandable." Liam commented with a nod. He didn't know if he could say anything else to Miyako, but he placed a hand on her shoulder to comfort her a bit. Finding the guts to say it, he spoke. "Miyako...I promise you, I will always be here for you...we'll get through this." he said, more or less reffering to the whole idea of Lyoko and XANA, but it could have a deeper meaning to it.

Miyako sighed and looked back to Liam, after a moment to think, she replied ”Thanks... I’m glad I’ve got a real friend, and you can count on me to stay by your side.”[/color] Some of her blonde hair fell over her eyes as she looked down from Liam’s face for a moment ”A real friend... Finally” she whispered under her breath, she looked back to Liam her deep blue eyes looking straight into his. She never felt so close to anyone, never felt so wanted. Never felt so caring towards anyone. A small smile returned to Miyako’s face as she looked up at Liam, and she stepped closer so her and Liam were right next to each other she put her face right beside his and closed her eyes and whispered to him ”Thank you.”

As Liam heard her speak and smiled, glad that he made Miyako feel better. He still was surprised he was considered a friend, but the 'real friend' bit made him even more surprised. He didn't get the chance to say anything else, as Miyako had walked closer to him and soon their faces were right next to eachother. Although the proximity was uncomfortable, Liam had managed to speak. "No need to thank me...after all..what are friends for?" he asked, knowing it sounded cheezey, but it was all he could think of. Miyako reminded him of Katsumi, who usually acted like this, but was not as subtle.

Miyako smiled to herself. But then her eyes slowly widened as she realized how Liam must have felt with her acting like that. She stepped back and turned around looking at the ground, her blonde hair falling and hiding her blue eyes. ”I’m.... I’m really sorry...” [/color] Miyako’s voice was quiet, with pauses, ashamed of herself. She slowly folded her arms and thought to herself. I’m ruining the only real friendship I’ve ever had already... What a moron... She sighed repeating herself once more ”I’m sorry...”

Liam smiled a bit and he couldn't help but move some of Miyako's hair away from her eyes, uncovering her eyes. "Hey..don't worry..It's not like I was freaking out or anything. To tell you the truth...I'm kinda used to it." he said, hoping to make her feel better. He was not very good at socializing, and anything thus far may have been pure luck.

Miyako looked up at Liam and kept her arms folded as she was not entirely convinced she had been forgiven but she gained a small smile acknowledging what Liam had said. Miyako slowly looked away though; she clearly had something on her mind. She closed her eyes thinking about it. After a moment her eyes opened wide and she took a sharp breath in panic at what she remembered that was properly best left forgotten. Miyako took a glance at Liam and put her hand over her face trying to shake it off. Her face lost the hint of the smile it carried and also most of its colour. Her eyes closed as she breathed deeply and let out a small whine ”Liam..?”

Liam thought he had convinced her that she was forgiven, but soon got curious as he noticed her expression. Soon hearing her intake of breath and slight whine, Liam was curious. "Yes Miyako?" he asked, keeping a friendly, brotherly tone for her.

Miyako took a deep breath to calm herself. She moves her hand to the side of her face keeping her eyes focused on the floor. ”Liam could we head back to Kadic....” she spoke nervously and put her fingers through her fringe pushing it aside. She did not want to sound desperate to get away, but she just wanted to go lay down and think things through. She had so much on her mind. ”Please...” she asked, making sure even unnerved that she did not forget her manners. She felt somewhat lost about everything that was happening to her, and she wanted to ignore what had happened to her before Kadic but just a few simple words brought it all back in an instant. Miyako looked and felt ready to collapse as she looked up at Liam, waiting for his reply.
