Appearances are decieving (Miyako, Katsumi& Liam)

Having been to Lyoko for the third time, this time for leisure, Liam seemed to be happy with life. His performance in class was at his best, which was a bit strange, as he usually held back, but he still enjoyed the day none the less. As it was sunny out, even in the forest, he wore his usual sunglasses, yet he was hiding something else. Nevertheless, he was heading to the factory via the forest sewers.

Sitting against a tree with her eyes closed Miyako waited for Liam to arrive, they had agreed to go to the factory together and Miyako was going to keep her promise no matter what. Even though she was not feeling great, several things added up to it including falling behind in a few subjects, especially chemistry and having to pull ''All-nighters" just to not fall behind any further. Last nights was another one she had little choice but to work through and she defiantly did not look like she had a good night or three's sleep. Yawning and opening her eyes slightly to see if Liam was near , Miyako sat back getting comfortable and closed her eyes again, trying to save some energy for Lyoko.

As Liam walked, he noticed Miyako, yet it did not seem that she saw him. He smiled a bit and took a different rout until he was behind the tree Miyako was sitting against. Kneeling down, he tapped her shoulder. "How's it going?" he asked, smiling a bit.

Elsewhere, a woman in red was hiding behind a few trees, watching her friend and his new friend. She had no clue why he would meet Miyako here of all places. Katsumi remained as silent as a mouse, observing the situation. If it came to it, she'd tell Liam something she always wanted to tell him.

Opening her eyes slowly Miyako looked round to see Liam and jumped slightly, "Liam... hey, sorry I'm a little tired" She said, slowly pushing her fringe out of her sapphire eyes that looked up at Liam beside her. Sitting forward from the tree because of being somewhat inpatient to go she asked "Ready to go to Lyoko?" Though she kept her voice quieter than normal, keeping Lyoko secret was one of the most important things to her. Miyako did not notice the woman watching them from a distance.

Nodding, Liam stood and smiled. "It's ok. I am too." he stated, yawning a little. Watching Miyako get up, he looked around to make sure the coast was clear. "I'm ready when you are." he replied, walking with her to the entrance, he smiled and moved the metal lid. "Ladies first." he stated politely as he was checking the area in order to be sure no one else was following.

As Katsumi listened in, some parts she had not been able to hear, but apparently they were going somewhere. Where ever it was, she would follow. Moving closer, being sure she was not spotted by either of the two, she heard Liam say 'Ladies first.'. That was very unlike him, yet this made her blush. If Liam was more knowledgeable, perhaps she had a chance to get together with him. Staying hidden, she waited for the two to leave before she planned on following.

Standing aside, Miyako kept very to herself as she watched Liam move the cover, leading to the sewers, out the way. Smiling slightly at Liam as he asked her to go down first she walked closer. Letting nothing more then a "Thanks." be heard, even though it was quiet. The little confidence Miyako held has disappeared as she spoke.

Miyako climbed down the ladder. Due to wearing plain black trousers she had no worries about climbing down the ladder as she would if she wore a skirt or dress... Like it would ever happen. Her feet touching the concrete floor and echoing round the sewers she looked up, arms wrapping around her holding her coat against her. Waiting for Liam to follow.

Climbing down, Liam covered the manhole and joined Miyako, enjoying the entire walk to the factory. He seemed rather confident in this trip rather than being nervous. As the two made it to the factory, they were near the elevator, but were called by someone.

"Now what do you two think you're doing?" Katsumi asked, somewhat suspicious of the two, walking closer to them. She didn't trust Miyako, but was going to explain her reason. "It's not often two people our age go to a run down place like this. You two must be up to something.." she added with a smile, showing she was interested.

Miyako did not turn as the voice echoed in the large open floor of the factory. Herding the question she replied with nothing more than a quiet sigh t break the silence. Her eyes closed as she lowered her head. She turned, her back facing Liam beside her as her eyes opened to see a woman in a red dress. One Miyako recognised, but the name slipped her mind momentarily ”Why did you follow us here?” Her tone of voice was not glad to see Katsumi.

Miyako’s actions and voice were uncommon of her; her stance was somewhat defensive with no sight of any emotion other than the slight annoyance at Katsumi. Maybe there was a reason for turning the way she did. Or it possibly was just looking in the same direction by chance. Whatever it was there was a definite change in Miyako’s actions. Yet all she said was that she had barely slept. But that was the least of anyone’s concerns. Katsumi was going to walk in on the biggest secret she knew of.

Katsumi smirked a bit at how Miyako seemed to be annoyed, but the annoyance did not matter as of now. "Well, if you want to know, it is part of my job to make sure Liam is safe. After all, we do both come from the same corporation." Katsumi replied politely with a smile. As Liam heard this, he sighed and looked at Miyako. "How about we let her in on this secret, just so she will have the peace of mind?" he asked, bringing up a point.

Slowly turning round to face Liam with a sigh Miyako spoke at a whisper, ”We swore to keep it a secret... So if you really trust her, she must do the same”[/b] Folding her arms she glanced at Katsumi, then looked to the ground. Logically thinking there was no real way to get Katsumi to leave with no knowledge that at least something was happening here.

Walking away without another word Miyako called the lift down by firmly pressing the button to do so. Its’ gears rattling echoed in the open space of the factory, much as any noise would, the shutters opened and Miyako took a few steps inside, ignoring the elevators moans and creaks as she stepped inside. She leant against the back wall. Watching. Waiting to see what the two of them would do.

"Well, I don't have a problem with secrets, so alright." Katsumi replied before she followed Liam and Miyako onto the elevator. Liam smiled and activated the elevator, bringing it to a halt at a point and entered the code so quickly that Katsumi could not see it. Once the doors to the super computer opened, Liam checked the monitor and saw something odd. "Looks like X.A.N.A has activated a tower..." he said, checking the location and noticed something. "What's this?" he asked, checking the visual. He saw someone in his vitrual form. "Seems like X.A.N.A has created a clone of me..." he started as he typed in a code. "If you devirtualize it, it should be sent back here..I'll deal with it then." he stated with a smile.

Walking to Liam’s side with her arms still folded Miyako watched the screen as Liam navigated the controls. Nodding slightly she put and hand on Liam’s shoulder and looked him in the eyes as he turned around ”Liam are you sure?” She asked, sounding concerned for him. Glancing at Katsumi she looked back at Liam and kept her voice to a very quiet whisper ”I don’t want you hurt... And I’m not sure I can take care of X.A.N.A. alone on Lyoko...” Miyako’s self esteem had always been low, but she was convinced that she alone could not take out Liam, and therefore could not take out a exact replica of Liam. She cared too much for him.

Liam smiled a bit and sighed as Miyako had worried about him. "Don't worry...I know myself more than anybody..and you won't be alone..Katsumi will help you." he replied kindly. Surprised at this concept, Katsumi looked at Liam and Miyako. She didn't think she could kill Liam, let alone a virtual clone of him, it would be too hard on her heart. "I...I don't know Liam...I...don't think I can do it.." she told him honestly, her emotion showing a little.Sighing, Liam stood up and had prepared a delayed virtualization process. Walking to Katsumi, he looked into her eyes. "Please Katsumi....it would mean alot to me..." he told her before pressing his lips against hers gently.

Eyes widened, Katsumi's heart fluttered at this. The man she loved actually kissing her? It was too good to be true...but then...it wasn't true. Breaking the kiss gently, she smiled. "Do you really think I am stupid, replica?" she questioned before twisting the replica's arm behind it's back and wrapped one arm around it's throat. "Sure, Liam is intelligent, but he isn't smart enough to know when I am flirting with him, let alone kiss me point blank." she stated, telling Miyako that the replica had tricked them. She had knocked the replica's sunglasses away to reveal that it's eyes had the X.A.N.A. Symbol on it.

Miyako rolled her eyes when she heard Katsumi would go with her. But seeing Liam stand she watched him as he walked over and kissed Katsumi, just the gesture made her want to run. But she froze, watching the two in front of her. Speechless.

As Katsumi grappled Liam she took a step back. Her wide eyes watching every move and as Liam’s eyes were realised Miyako lost her balance for a moment, but remained standing “Liam...?” She asked unsure, before she realized what was going on. Swiftly moving to the computer she put on the headset and started typing quickly, watching the screen. ”I hope this works...” she said under her breath, not to anyone in particular but she may have been heard by more than just Liam’s clone and Katsumi.

The replica had struggled with Katsumi, as it seemed she had quite an edge when it came to it's current form. Soon a voice went through the communicator on Miyako's headset. "Miyako? Is that you?" Liam's voice asked before the replica had broke free and began to strangle Katsumi. Katsumi struggled to break free of the replica's choke, soon hearing Liam's voice. "L-Liam?" she asked, kicking the clone away from her, breathing heavily. "Wait..Katsumi? How did you get here? Nevermind..what is going on out there?" he asked them as Katsumi kept the clone at bay.

Glancing to the clone and Katsumi struggle Miyako typed away quickly. ”There’s a clone of you here, from X.A.N.A. and he’s not friendly... Listen I’m going to devitalize you from here and hopefully...” typing the last of the code in Miyako touched the enter key nervously watching the screen for any sign that she had done it right, or wrong.

A few moments later Miyako heard a scanner downstairs open, letting out a sigh of relief she started searching the supercomputer’s database for something that might get rid of the clone another way. As she had no fighting skills off Lyoko itself she thought she had to do something to be of use, but only then did she remember what Titan said the first time they went to Lyoko ”X.A.N.A. will attack Earth and we have to get to a tower and deactivate it.”

Miyako was not sure if she should go to Lyoko or attempt to help with the clone here. But until she could figure out what to do she sat at the supercomputer, quickly trying to think it over.

Stumbling out of the scanner, Liam shook his head quickly and took deep breaths while heading for the elevator. He knew he didn't have alot of time, so he was moving as fast as possible. Once starting the elevator, he ascened to the computer room and found the replica of himself about to attack Katsumi, quickly kicking it in the side to stop it. "Miyako, Katsumi, you two head to Lyoko and deactivate the tower, I'll deal with this imposter." he quickly said, diverting the clone.

Miyako did not have the time to argue. She nodded and opened the self vitalization program though its comic name ‘Big Fat Cheese Head’ had no affect on the seriousness of the situation. Standing Miyako signalled Katsumi to follow her as she quickly made her way to the ladder across the room. Glancing at Liam she let him know she had this covered before climbing down, jumping the last few steps of the ladder. ”Come on Katsumi, twenty seconds. Maybe less.”[/color] She said glancing at the scanners over her shoulder.

Leading the way she stepped inside as the program fired itself up. The doors closing in front of her, closing her eyes she took a deep breath. She could go through the steps in her mind. Transfer. Scanner. Virtualisation.

Nodding, Katsumi followed Miyako, despite disliking the idea of assisting her. She was, however, worried about Liam. If that imposter was able to trap him inside of the virtual world, what could he do in the real world? Regardless, she entered the scanner and was virtualized.

Liam, on the otherhand, had some difficulty. Not trusting the elevator, Liam found another way to climb upwards and get to the main floor of the factory. Being sure his clone was following, Liam just had to keep the clone at bay.

Miyako virtualized onto Lyoko dropping to the rocky floor of the mountain sector. Slowly standing from a kneel -her typical landing position on Lyoko- her sapphire eyes glanced behind, left and right. There was no such thing as being too careful on Lyoko.

Closing her eyes she listened carefully for any sign of enemies... Nothing. Nothing yet at least. Miyako turned around to where Katsumi would closely follow her to Lyoko, a thought crossed her mind that gave her a small smile. ’What would she think of me as a big blue bird? And what would Katsumi end up as?’ Letting out a tiny laugh under her breath she turned around, knowing Katsumi would not have the proudest or stylish of landings the first time. Looking over her shoulder though, curious to what Katsumi would look like on Lyoko.
