Feels like the First Time *Kris*

Roxas landed on her four paws on Lyoko. She shook out her fur and looked around, waiting for Kris. "Alright... this is interesting..." She smiled to herself and let out a howl, blasting away the gravel around the area, so Kris wouldn't hurt himself when he came. Most never landed on their feet the first time..

Vitalizing into Lyoko, my clothes had changed from a jacket, long scarf and black shirt to a rather different more streamline, uniform look. A large collar still covered my neck but opposite of that on Earth my arms were covered with long gloves that acted as sleeves, leaving my shoulders open where my jacket would hide normally. But as on Earth, the blue face paint I called signature was still obvious on my face.

As I dropped to the floor I fell straight to a kneel, keeping my dignity where others would just fall the the ground. Looking round I was amazed, Roxas to my left, I had a few moments to take in what was going on. Immediately I noticed my clothes had changed then slowly moving my left hand to where my hair would be hanging down and I felt it was shorter, not by too much but shorter non the less. My body frozen in shock I slowly looked around with wide eyes.

Looking over to Roxas my eyes met hers, though I was surprised to see her I could recognize those eyes anywhere. Earth or Lyoko. I turned toward her, kneeling down to her level hiding the fact I was so nervous and worried about this brand new place. "Roxanne?" I asked with a small smile, I knew it was her, but it was better to ask then walk over to get a peace ripped out of me.

Roxas let out a small laugh as Kris came near her. "Yes, it's me. I stick to this form, since I prefer not looking like a liger at times." she looked around, eyes watching. She then shut her eyes and sensed around, not feeling anything.

"Alright. Let's see what you can do, Kris. I'll give an example," she then let out her howl again, blasting away some of the grass about 50 feet around her, not harming Kris.

She then took sight of a rock and bit her own flesh, true and real blood dripping down from her now wounded shoulder. she leaped and bit into the rock, black liquid pouring into it and spilling out of the holes. It made the rock decompose in a matter of a few moments.

Roxas then jumped away and said a few words in french, changing back into her form of regularity. She did look like a liger a little, but the white and lavender wasn't to be taken as a joke. Her heart was all wolf, reafy to kill if she had to. Her body was mostly the same as outside the virtual existence, but was like a white and lavender version of Odd Della-Robia. A wolf was on her front, and a jacket of black was settled on her. On the back of the jacket was a werewolf, snarling with blood on its fangs.

Watching Roxas with my arms folded in front of my I watched, looking at her carefully as she showed her Lyoko abilities. I figured out pretty fast I might be able to do something as well, after all what sort of virtual warrior would I be if I done nothing? Seeing Roxas change back into the form that resembled her Earth self I smiled at her, unfolding my arms. Closing my eyes I could feel her presence, I concentrated for a moment. Looking inside myself for what I could do.

Opening my eyes I looked to Roxas. "I got it." I told her using a hand to move some hair away from my eyes. "So basically we both have abilities here, that we don't have on Earth, and you use it to help defend against this virus thats wreaking havoc here?" I looked around, my back facing Roxas I was looking deep into the forest, the conversation was one of the last things on my mind. I went to put my hands in my pockets and realized I had none then just folded them across my chest. Looked like I was waiting for Roxas reply, but honestly I was thinking about something else. My mind not concentrating on Lyoko or Earth.

Roxas nodded. "Yes, you've got it." She watched him. "There's no reason to worry here. And, you may want to test yourself a little. I'd advise trying to make yourself bleed, to see if you can. I'm the only one I know of on Lyoko that can, but it's better to know now than when it's a bad hit."

Slowly nodding I turned back around to her. Looking around my new uniform I noticed I had no physical weapons and sighed, "I would ask you to be my sparring partner but it seams I'm defenseless." A small, nervous smile crossed my face. I watched Roxas and stepped closer to her. waiting for her to say something.

Meanwhile a patrol of Krabs makes its way toward where we are, hoping to use the element of surprise to get an advantage on us. Keeping their distance the scout of the group watched us from the cover of a far off tree behind us in the forest. just waiting to make it's move.

"Maybe there's activated by emotions?" Roxas asked. She thought she heard something, turning and looking for a moment. "Hmm.. never mind. Come on, bring it on. Use your fists if you must." She smiled, eyes blazing up a little in playfulness that was incredibly her own.

I laughed quietly to myself looking at her, "Lets go then." I taunted taking a step back and preparing myself by standing in a martial arts position. Though I did not learn it from a master, my skills were good enough to defend myself. "Ladies first, make your move." I stood my ground, ready to defend myself...

That was until the Krab decided to make a move. Coming out of hiding it stepped out into the open taking a single shot toward Roxas, and before she made her move on me I ran toward her and threw my arms around her, protecting her from the shot. Though it hit me in the shoulder, feeling the full force of it i gritted my teeth and close my eyes. Opening one half hidden by my hair to see Roxas in my arms "Y-you alright?" I asked with pain in even my voice. Unlike Roxas I did not bleed on lyoko but I felt immense pain from being hit.

Turning around I closed my eyes once more as a wall of flames appeared between us and the Krab, as two more walked to it. Looking up I knew it was me, but I could not quite believe what I was seeing. That froze me as I looked to the wall of fire that protected us and the figures of the Krabs behind it.

Roxas grinned as their play began. She tried to swipe at him with her claws before she felt him pull her into an embrace. She felt when Kris was hit, anger immediately taking over the area where the playfulness had been forged. She pushed Kris to help him stand, her eyes darker with wisdom and control of things beyond most people's comprehension. "I'm fine. Watch your back a bit more," she said softly before streaking into wolf form and slamming her body into a Krab, making it fall over the ledge. "also, I forgot to mention. Don't fall off! If you do, you're gone for good." she said to Kris before going back to fighting off the group. A solo warrior was Roxas; she rarely ever was allowed a solo fight with a gang. She looked at Kris with the corner of her eye and smiled. "Good, you're gonna learn that'll be useful.... now, boys," she stated the last part to the crabs, a teasing smile on her face.

Roxas watched as a few Krabs began to back up. SHe howled and kept the note for a moment: the Krabs she targeted began to find sparks of lightning being shot down from above onto them, taking out a bit of health with each hit.

Holding my shoulder and watching Roxas I nodded at her comment. It was foolish to assume anywhere on Lyoko was safe, as I did. I ran to her side as she battled the Krabs in front of us, with a small smirk. I closed my eyes as a burst of flames appeared below the Krabs being hit by Roxas lighting bolts, finishing them off.

Glancing round I could not see any more so I turned to Roxas moving a hand over my still painful shoulder. "I'm sorry..." I said, sounding slightly disappointed in myself. "I should have seen them coming, but at least I know how to use this power of mine." I finished on a positive note, hoping Roxas would focus on that rather than the negative points of what just happened.

Roxas looked at Kris as he finished off the Krabs. "Nice work, and," she quickly swiped him lightly on the cheek, equivalent to a slap. "Don't let me catch you thinking darkly about that again, you hear me?" she said before smiling and licking the wound. "It's good to know you're power is under control. When I first started, I couldn't do anything except howl to blow away enemies."

Watching Roxas in a shocked surprised for a moment after being 'slapped' across the face I did not say a word. Then as soon as she licked my face I blushed brightly behind my blue face paint like markings, that seamed not to smudge on Lyoko. Not expecting anything that happened in the last few minutes but it was a great experience and I smiled to Roxas still blushing slightly. "I think were safe for now anyway... so could you tell me more bout Lyoko?" I asked, genuinely interested by it. Leaning back on a tree I watched Roxas, also where I would be crossing my arms talking to anyone else, I kept them by my sides, feeling completely open with Roxas and I was hoping she would be the same about Lyoko, after all I was already this deeply involved.

Roxas nodded; "We need to be careful here. Now... The artificial intelligence known as Xana is obsessed with world domination. Towards that end, he has taken over the supercomputer in charge of the virtual world of Lyoko, which he largely dominates. Xana is also able to attack the real world by activating towers (usually one at a time), which act as links to the real world. When these towers are activated, Xana is able to seize control of other computers and electrical systems as well as occasionally possessing organic life-forms or generating copies of them. The group has to get someone on the outside to hack into one of the activated towers out of the forty scattered about Lyoko's four main regions to deactivate them, neutralizing Xana's attack on the real world." Roxas stated. She'd been involved for years, if truth was told correctly.

Silently, a megatank rolled in behind Kris. Roxas's paws picked up the vibration.

"Once the danger is averted, we can use the supercomputer to return to the past, leaving no one except us to remember any of the events that transpired. To complicate this situation, we must do this while ensuring our classmates and teachers are not killed (as going back in time cannot bring back the dead), and deal with the many clashes of personality at the same time. The time travel only goes back roughly a day, taking back anyone who has been scanned in one of the scanners. Once back in time, they can use their knowledge of the future to alter events in their favor or the favor of others. This usually entails taking steps to keep one of Xana's attacks from taking place, though they do use the knowledge to prevent other unfavorable events that might not be related to Xana. However, as a downside, returning to the past adds a qubit to the supercomputer, doubling its power and therefore Xana's with each use."

Roxas looked ahead of her, ears perked. She had barely any time to react as a blast of red energy burst from the monster in a line. She roughly shoved Kris out of the way and a large amount of her hip was struck. She tumbled to the ground, not moving as the blood began to show on her fur. The megatank closed up and headed towards Kris, a couple Krabs and two hornets following.

Listening to Roxas every work my arms crossed, I was slightly surprised at how she knew all this, and several aspects of the explanation I found hard to believe. Such as the time travel but I just kept listening rather than interrupt, as that was one of the things that annoyed me the most in a conversation.

Being shoved out of the way I looked over to see the spherical monster a small distance away from us, quickly getting to my feet my eyes widened seeing Roxas hurt I growled quietly under my breath and cursed, bolting to the side I distracted the Mega-tank. As it fired at me I narrowly avoided it before glancing back to Roxas "Don't move, I got this little..." slipping one foot behind me I put my hands together, looking down with my fringe hiding my eyes.

In a circle around the Mega-tank a small ring of fire jumped up, spiraling up high into the sky, completely engulfing the mega-tank. Due to luck or power, destroying it along with the hornets that acted as guards. The flaming Debris acting as a protective wall for a short amount of time, trapping the Krabs behind it. Straight away my attention turned to Roxas and I ran to her side "Roxas!" kneeling beside her I looked at the wound and swore under my breath "Roxanne.. Your hurt baddly." Even though I was somewhat experienced with wounds on Earth, Lyoko was different and I had no clue what to do, looking into Roxas' eyes I froze for a moment. Lost.

Roxas looked up at Kris and stood, growling towards the enimies before them. She let out a hoarse bark and looked at Kris. She cursed in another language and then growled, dropping. "We need to go. WE've both been hurt. Come on, fire at me and I'll shoot at you. We'll take the other's lifepoints." she said, standing again, leaping at Kris with her fangs ready to bite.

Bringing my arm across to block her out of instinct I could feel her fangs go deep into my arm close to my shoulder that was previously hit. "Sorry...Rox..." I quietly grumbled under my breath. Closing my eyes as I felt the pain rush through me and in response and obedience to Roxas' command I took a well aimed powerful shot of fire at her that would do the same amount of damage to her as she done too me.

As the last of my Life points was taken by Roxas I looked at her as I saw myself being devitalized. Moments later appearing back on Earth.

Roxas grunted as the fire took her points. She howled and dropped to the ground before de-virtualizing. She was loosing blood quick and was glad when she found herself in a scanner in her wolf form. She smiled and limped out of it, heading outside.
