Midnight at the creek (Miyako/ katsumi[possible])

It had been quite an eventful day for both Liam and Miyako alike. They had explored the factory and in turn, found a virtual world, but at a bit of a price that Liam knew. Since X.A.N.A was a virus, it will have to be contained, and it seems it has fallen into their hands to contain it. Passing the creek, Liam felt as if his mind was relieved of all stressful thoughts. It was the first time he ever heard the natural sound of flowing water such as this. He envied many people, and wished he could have a simple life, but then, he had an important job when the time comes, so he may aswell enjoy it while it lasts.

Miyako followed Liam and looked at the creek. It had been a while since she heard running water and she smiled walking over to the grassy bank and sat down looking back over her shoulder. ”It’s really late” Miyako spoke sweetly more confident than before, she looked up at the dark sky and back to Liam. ”I don’t think its light enough to find our way all the way back to Kadic” Miyako bought up a hand as she yawned looking over the water. She looked over to Liam wanting him to come next to her. She smiled up to him, Miyako was glad to be near Liam but she knew they couldn’t get back to Kadic without difficulty.

Liam heard Miyako speak to him and realized how late it was. Nodding, he went to be next to Miyako and was curious as to what she had planned. "So, what now?" he asked, as if asking what they were going to do next. He soon yawned silently, but he was so subtle that Miyako couldn't notice it.

Miyako looked up at the night sky seeing a few stars peering out of the slightly clouded night sky. A small smile came across her face as she looked back to Liam "I think we should stay here tonight and travel back in the morning, it'd be safer" she laid back onto the grass and closed her eyes, hoping for Liam to come close and lay with her and even though she knew it was a little unwise to stay out at night she still felt safe with Liam around.

Liam hesitated for a bit, but nodded. He never tried camping out, or sleeping outside for that matter. Laying down next to Miyako, he was doing so to be sure he would be able to protect her incase anything went wrong. "Les étoiles ... elles sont belles" he spoke softly in french for the first time. Whether it was where he was that triggered this, or just his mood was unknown to him, yet it was as if he had spoken a language he knew just like he knew english.

"Oui… Angleterre est également..." Miyako slowly replied. After a moment of silence tears came to her eyes and she sat up wiping her eyes quickly with her sleeve as not to show it. She could never show her feelings in England, why should here be any different? She missed her home, yet she was glad to be away. Miyako didn't have a clue where she wanted to be or where she belonged and as she thought of it she sat, eyes focused at the grass in font of her as the questions passed through her mind. She looked slightly over in Liam's direction but not at him as to hide her face. "désolé..." She said quietly to Liam as the night wind picked up and a cold gust passed making Miyako shiver as it did but she kept her eyes focused on the ground.

Liam heard the french-spoken comment about England and was slightly puzzled. He looked at Miyako just when she had apologized, and he smiled. "No need to apologize.." he said, shrugging a bit. Soon sitting up, he noticed that a tear was beginning to run down Miyako's face, which in turn had Liam curious, and he acted on a reflex. Bringing his hand gently to her face, he gently wiped the tear from Miyako's cheek.

Miyako's deep blue eyes reflected in the light as Liam wiped away the tear that she failed to hide."Thanks" She said quietly as she sat back slightly and let out a small sigh letting some tension she held leave, she started to smile slightly before being interrupted, shivering from the night breeze. Miyako folded her arms holding her black jacket against her to keep her a little warmer. "Is it just me or is it freezing out here?" Miyako asked over exaggerating the cold, but trying to change the subject away from why she had her sudden little 'emotional moment'. She knew being tired did not help her argument, and nor did being exhausted from everything she had been going on. Really, now was the only time she got to stop for more than a moment on everything since she left England.

Seeing Miyako shiver, Liam pondered what his next action would be. He knew he could hug her to allow her to share his body heat, but he wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. He soon decided and gently wrapped his arms around Miyako, making sure his face wasn't visible to her, as he was embarrassed about the idea.

Miyako kept quiet as Liam hugged her then realized what he was doing and put her arms around him. Putting her head on Liam's shoulder so he could not see her face either, she closed her eyes and smiled already feeling warmer from hugging Liam, "Thanks Liam" she whispered sweetly, she sighed keeping her eyes closed and holding Liam close. "You're the only person I..." she stopped for a moment thinking maybe she should not say it but carried on "You're the only person I really trust." Possibly Mayako was no longer cold in more was than one..

Remaining silent, Liam closed his eyes, feeling a new warmth wash over him. It wasn't that he had been cold in the first place, but something about Miyako warmed him up. He nearly felt a tear come to his eye in confusion, yet he stopped it from being made. "Miyako...I.." he started before he took a breath, calming down. "I'm so glad that I know someone like you...I truly feel like I can trust you.." he said, his voice soft and gentle. He didn't know if he could break the hug, nor if he wanted to.

Miyako closed her eyes still in Liam's arms, several thoughts crossed her mind as she stay in his arms. She sighed a breath of relief and she felt comfortable in Liam's arms, she felt safe and wanted by his actions and words towards her. Miyako's holding hug loosened slightly as she almost fall sleep in his arms hearing the gentle breeze in the trees and the sound of the water nearby and most of all Liam's presence around her. She kept quiet and as she did, she could hear her own breath, and Liam's in harmony with each other.

Tonight was as peaceful as ever as Katsumi had been walking to the creek. This was a daily thing for the woman in the red dress, as she adored the calm flow of water, and even watching the fish. Today was not very eventful, and it was nice to get out for a while. Her attention was brought from her thoughts of the creek to two people hugging eachother. She would have exclaimed how cute it was, were it not for the fact Liam was involved. Not to mention another girl. Soon figuring who the second girl was, Thunder was the girl's nickname, she thought of a joke to break the hug and to break the ice. "So having an umbrella stops the tears of the thunderstorm afterall." she spoke calmly, hoping to annoy both of the people there.

Miyako sat back and looked over to see Katsumi, her first instinct was to run but she looked to Liam nervously and looked back. Keeping her eyes on Katsumi as she did not know what she was like, or what she could do. As Miyako was the defensive type, she did not want to take chances. her eyes focused on Katsumi she tried to pass off as if she was confident but the fear was eminent in her voice "How do you know my old name? And just who are you?" Miyako asked in a hurried voice, she honestly never wanted anyone she did not trust to call her by that name, but it continued to haunt her even here.

"I guessed from rumors I heard. I'll just forget about that name if you want." Katsumi stated politely, smiling. She had been a little surprised Miyako got so defensive over a nickname that seemed completely harmless. "My name is Katsumi Amaterasu. I see you and Liam have gotten along very well." she commented, which she was partly annoyed at her for.

Realizing Katsumi was trying to make friends with Miyako, Liam sighed a bit. "Don't worry Miyako, Katsumi and I go way back, she's a great person once you get along with her..although she does confuse me at times." he said, somewhat embarrassed.

Miyako slowly looked back to Liam as he spoke and nodded to him. She kept to herself with Katsumi around though, she knew Liam would not deceive her but she still felt distrust toward her and the question kept echoing in her mind, 'how does she know I'm Thunder....' Trying to answer the query herself she sat close to Liam looking up at Katsumi close by. Miyako was slightly confused as to Katsumi's and Liam's connection. But she just sat in silence.

Liam thought about it for a bit, and knew that Liam was still a superior to Katsumi due to the reason they are connected. "Katsumi, just call her Miyako." he said, which was more or less an order to Katsumi than a request. He wanted to make Miyako feel comfortable, even if it risked his own comfort.

"Fine." Katsumi said in complete agreement. She then sat down next to the two, as she wanted to be sure Miyako couldn't make a move on Liam (assuming she had any plans). "So, how did you enjoy your first day at Kadic Miyako?" she questioned, hoping to break the ice on this one. She had to make Miyako trust her more.

Miyako sighed and kept her eyes focused on the water instead of Katsumi or Liam and she crossed her arms holding her coat against her body, looking to Liam she spoke but lacked confidence"Eventful.... Lets just say that..." as soon as she stopped speaking she looked back at the water, she could feel that there was some strong link between Katsumi and Liam and assuming the worse she thought best to stay out of it, be quiet and not intrude on their grounds that she assumed were more than just a friendship. Miyako honestly did not know what to think, or where to go from this point. The day had been exhausting, and the night her worst social nightmare, that is of course after the social nightmare that bought here to Kadic in the first place. The state of Miyako's mind was clearly affecting her judgment and body language, but in a number of ways that anyone would be worried for her sudden change of tone.

As Miyako responded, Katsumi could tell she was bothered, and felt like that Miyako wasn't going to get in her way when it came to her friendship with Liam."Interesting." She said, smiling in response to Miyako's reply. She did not expect, however, for Liam to call her out on this..

"And how about you? Find anyone you could act wierd to?" he asked, making an unintentional statement to Miyako. Liam never got why Katsumi had a wierd behaviour around him, so he assumed it would be with any other person. It also told Miyako that Liam was not more than just friends with Katsumi. Hearing no response from Katsumi, he directed his attention back to the creek, as he felt odd looking at the two girls. He already had a wierd feeling about Katsumi, but now he had felt a similar feeling with Miyako. All he knew was he needed to change the topic somehow or someway. "M-Miyako...I-Is there anything you would like to...to talk about?" he asked, hesitating due to his own thoughts.

Miyako kept quiet, watching the water in front of her with her arms still crossed in front of her. Her blonde hair fell slightly over her eyes hiding their deep colour. Miyako was thinking to herself, in a world of her own and was not really paying attention to Liam and Katsumi's conversation. She felt like she was getting in the way or she was not wanted here right now, funny, since it was the same feeling she got back in English schools. Keeping her her head low. She sighed. Looking over at Katsumi and Liam then closing her eyes, saying nothing.
