Midnight at the creek (Miyako/ katsumi[possible])

Liam looked at Miyako and was worried as she didn't seem comfortable. What could he do to make Miyako more comfortable? He then realized what started the discomfort..Katsumi. "Katsumi...head back to Kadic, and don't tell anyone we were here." he said calmly, as if he was making a suggestion.

Seeing Miyako silent, Katsumi was about to move her position to sit closer to Liam until she heard Liam's suggestion. "Well, I can't leave you two alone." she said, hoping to get around the suggestion. She had forgotten Liam's position in the argument, and was going to learn that the hard way.

Not seeing Katsumi leave, and upon hearing her comment, Liam had been a little annoyed. He knew a few simple words would make Katsumi leave, but he was unsure whether or not to do so, as Miyako was there. Finally taking the risk, Liam took a breath and made his tone a more serious one. "That's an order." he said, in a point-blank attitude.

Upon hearing Liam's next statement, she felt she had no choice in the matter. Standing up, she brushed off the stray blades of grass on her red dress and nodded. "I'll see you around then." she said politely before walking off.

Miyako snapped out of her thoughtful state hearing Liam's order and watched as Katsumi leave. Confused, she sat in the same place and did not ask as she felt it a bit intruding on her part. Though she could not help but wonder'An... Order?' she only spoke quietly, under her breath and to herself. But the night was quiet and the only sound heard was the wind pushing the trees. Miyako looked at the water as she quietly spoke in an apologetic tone "I'm really sorry... I didn't know you and her...-" She sighed going silent once more, putting one of her hands on her face. Keeping the other round her torso holding her jacket against her.

Looking back at the creek, Liam listened to Miyako apologize, but her reasoning didn't make any sense. What did she think that Liam and Katsumi were doing? "Uh...I don't see any reason for you to apologize...but what did you mean?" he asked, hoping she would tell him, and maybe he could clarify under the pretense that she kept it a secret.

Miyako stayed silent for a moment and pushed her fringe out of her eyes looking away from Liam, she convinced herself that she had no chance, as even a friend, with Katsumi around. She lost all sense of safety she had as she thought over how Katsumi came and Liam was giving orders. She honestly did not know what to do, or say so she kept her eyes focused on the creek, or kept them closed "I didn't realize you and her were so close..." She said in a almost disappointed tone, she shivered as the cold wind pushed past her. And at the thought that she would be alone in a new school again.

Liam soon realizd what Miyako meant, and soon knew he had to clarify. "What? Her and I aren't like that. We just come from the same organization, that's all." he said, hoping it was enough to clarify. He then placed a hand on her shoulder. "To be honest, she always acts wierd...that is kinda why I try to avoid her." he said in a softer tone so as not to be over heard, should Katsumi walk back in on the two.

Miyako looked back at Liam and smiled a little as she listened to him explain, but she was still somewhat unsure about Liam and turned toward him "Liam..." She slowly asked after building the confidence, also unfolding her arms and looking toward him, but not into his eyes out of pure embarrassment. "If you want... I can tell you a bit about my past if you tell me a little about yours" Miyako, slightly unsure, suggested. She wasn't really comfortable talking about her past, but she wanted to know a bit more about Liam as she felt so insecure.

The suggestion rang through Liam's mind, and he knew Miyako was someone who never liked the past. "Well...You don't need to tell me about your past...I..I was just hoping...you'd be able to keep what I am about to tell you a secret..that is the only request I have." he said, his tone obviously nervous.

Miyako paused and nodded confidently to Liam then put a hand round the back of her neck and closed her eyes for a moment in deep thought about her own past. The more she try to avoid it, the more her past haunts her. Miyako felt slightly faint because of it and many other things including the Lyoko incident, that was sure to change her life here in Kadic. She turned her attention back to Liam, trying to distract her mind for a while. "Thanks...And feel free to get anything off your chest because you know me. I've got nobody to tell your secrets to anyway." Miyako sighed and looked at Liam straight into his eyes, and her insecurity was clear only to him.

Nodding, Liam hesitated but took a breath. "I...I am the current heir to the Umbrella Corporation...My father was the owner and basically the boss of everyone within the corportation. He and my mother died shortly after my own birth...at least, that is what I have been told." he started, pausing to take a breath and in turn, checked to see if Miyako was following him.

"Ever since I was nine, I have learned the ins and outs of the corporation, and all of it's research projects. I know it sounds strange, and believe me, I felt the same, but all in all, it was boring...and lonely. I did go to corporate parties, but I never really got to talk to anyone, as if I was a figurehead of some sorts...the reason why I came to Kadic is actually because...." he continued, but stopped for a bit. "Because....I will have to take head of Umbrella in a few years...and....I wanted to see the world." he ended, nearly in tears as he remembered how little time he had. He knew all the friends he made here, and he realized he'd have to leave them someday.

Miyako listened to Liam speak and a tear ran down her face, she felt so inconsiderate and selfish not having the slightest idea about what Liam told her beforehand. She came close to Liam and put her arms around him resting her head on his shoulder, her hair fell down half covering her face as she did and she held Liam tightly with no intention of pulling away. Miyako's tears fell onto Liam's shoulder as she hold onto him, She was upset at the idea that Liam would need to leave, how she failed to see he was the heir to the Umbrella Corporation, and another reason she kept to herself. Miyako did not say a word, but she did not need to to show she cared for him.

As soon as a tear fell from his eyes, he felt Miyako wrap her arms around him, and he held Miyako, not wanting to let go. He didn't know what to say, nor how to react, yet he felt her tears on his shoulder, and he was even more confused. I...I don't want to leave any of my friends.. he thought, his breathing calming a little, and he tried to comfort Miyako aswell.

Miyako kept her face half hidden under her blonde hair then her eyes slowly closed, hiding her deep blue eyes and stopping a few tears dropping down, she spoke quietly with her voice full of emotion "Liam..." She held Liam tighter as she spoke. She thought to herself 'How could i be so blind and just think about how bad I had things in England... Liam is losing all his friends and all I know to life for Umbrella and I never really had it...' Miyako quietly cried onto Liam's shoulder. She felt, like she was let him down somehow. Through her own disregard, that was really due to her lack of knowledge, for others. Miyako sat in Liam's arms, quietly, silently and eyes closed resting on his shoulder.

Liam, who was still crying softly, heard Miyako call his name. He knew that she was dispaired at something of his predicament, yet didn't know why. "Miyako..." he said in response, yet stayed silent, closing his eyes, his head gently resting on her shoulder aswell. He already formed a bond with Miyako, and he couldn't bear the thought of being forced to leave her. She had shown him the joys of having a true friend, and he didn't want to lose that.

Liam was the only person Miyako could call a friend, she was caste out of being friends with anyone in her last school, and though several people were welcoming her to Kadic, she knew they might easily do the same if they heard of why she came here in the first place. Miyako closed her eyes on Liam's shoulder and unwrapped one arm from around him and used her sleeve to wipe her tears away. But it did not stop her crying, nor did it stop the thought of not having Liam around to help her. She put her arm back around Liam, as she did not want to let go of him. He Miyako's light in the darkness. Even after only meeting him not so long ago. She deeply cared for Liam and hoped he felt as she did.

Liam couldn't hold it anylonger, he had to tell her. "Miyako...I don't want to leave...I don't want to leave you...you're my best friend...you make me...make me feel...like I truly am human..." he said, his words not very direct, but they had a meaning into them that was most likely unintentional on his part. He truly cared for Miyako, and he was forever thankful to her.

Miyako smiled still holding Liam close. Looking up to the sky she noticed it was getting lighter as both Liam and Miyako had stayed up long enough to reach the early hours of the next morning. Miyako was quite surprised but as the old saying goes, "time flies when you're having fun." And Miyako had more fun and adventure with Liam in the time she has known him than any other time in her whole life. But she decided to keep that quiet for now "Liam... Thank you, and you truly and honestly..." She began, and stopped for a moment still with a small grin. "You're truly the best friend I've had." She had barely had anyone to call a friend, but she was hoping Liam would not notice because she still felt the same way about Liam.

Liam was blushing slightly and was smiling, although he didn't realize it. "Thank you.." he said, his tone sounding more grateful than his words. He loved being in France, meeting new people, seeing many new things. He loved all of this almost as much as he loved... "Miyako.." he spoke, hoping to tell her something. He didn't realize it, nor did he get the concept, but he was in love with her. "What would you like to do?" he asked, hoping to stray away from the bad subject.

Miyako sat back from hugging Liam and looked into his eyes, and her fringe blonde covered her eyes slightly as she did, she pushed it aside just for it to fall back a moment later. "I suppose we could try and get back to Kadic, it's starting to get lighter" She said, still lost in Liam's eyes. She did not make a move to get up but found herself thinking Liam.... I've grown so close to you and I cant help but feel like... As the wind blew through the trees, Miyako's focus broke and her eyes looked down as a small smirk crossed her face. She was glad Liam was with her. And she would come to realize that later- She would never stop thinking of him, and he would never leave her if given the choice.

Liam nodded at the idea and stood, holding out his hand to help her up, as he would do with anyone, yet he could not break eye contact for some reason. His thoughts raced, but soon were occupied by how tired he felt. Good thing there were no classes the next day, or he would be literally out of energy. Not one who stays up alot, he would not be used to staying awake for twenty-four hours.

Miyako gained a small smirk looking u at Liam. Taking his hand she stood up still her crystal blue eyes looking into his, lost but somewhat at home with him. She hesitated when it came to letting go of his hand and her hand slowly moved back to her sides for a moment before she pull her coat across her, holding it against her but it was more a shy movement than one to keep her warm. "So...." Miyako said, slightly unsure "We're going back to Kadic? I guess someone is bound to notice if we stay out any later"[/b] She looked up at Liam and smiled, she knew he was tired and she felt the same, though she was used to staying up late she had never done an 'all-nighter' before. Miyako slowly walked to and past Liam, starting to lead in the direction of Kadic waiting for him to follow her and lead the rest of the way, and through it all she was still smiling to him softly with her eyes half open still looking at him.

As Liam came to her side, Miyako walked with him back to Kadic in the early hours of the morning. Knowing the secret of Lyoko was sure to stay secret in their hands.
