After the nuclear bomb was created in the U.S., they began creating an underground city called 'Midnight City'. The city was twice the size of Manhattan and took 65 years to finish. On December 21, 2012, China launched nukes at every major city in the U.S. Russia responded and launched nukes at China. The world went to hell from there, nuclear bombs went everywhere. The long expected nuclear war had began and ended in three hours. After those three hours, the world was covered in a sheet of radiation.
In 2112, hundreds of underground cities around the world, that were built after the cuban missile crisis, opened up and allowed their residents to leave. The people from those underground cities began building new settlements. The president from 2012 was cryogenically frozen under Washington D.C. 50 years later, Midnight City finally opened up and a new beginning washed upon the world.
